Alison's Flapjacks

I have slightly adapted my friend Alison's recipe for flap jacks. These are a definite favourite with the ladies coming to my classes so I thought it was time to share.

What you need

Swiss Roll tin approx. 20x30 lined with baking parchment and lightly greased

Ingredients
100g (4 ozs) butter or margarine
100g (4 ozs) Demerara sugar
100g (4 ozs) golden syrup
200g (8 ozs) rolled oats

Method
Melt margarine sugar and syrup ( I do this in a large bowl in the microwave)
Add oats and mix well
Turn into tin and press down well

Cook Gas 4 (180C) for 20 mins until just beginning to brown.

Leave to cool slightly but whilst still warm cut into squares
Remove from tin when nearly cold

  2. They are both of those - that's why I love them. So quick to make too. They are also wheat free, so if I get tempted its not so bad!
